Jadon Sancho is reportedly set to join Juventus from Manchester United in a loan deal that will be made permanent at the end of the season. The winger is leaving the Premier League side despite being reintegrated into Erik ten Hag's first-team squad.

Sancho was banished by Ten Hag early during last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Borussia Dortmund. But after being reintegrated at the start of the summer, it seemed the 24-year-old might have saved his future at Old Trafford.

That is not set to be the case, though, with Sancho one of a couple of players who could leave United before Friday's transfer deadline. RMC Sport claim that the England star will join Juventus in an initial loan deal.

It is claimed that United have reached an agreement that would see Sancho's temporary stay in Turin made permanent at the end of the season. The ex-Dortmund attacker is reportedly keen to complete the transfer.

Sancho's potential exit to Juventus could have consequences for Raheem Sterling and his bid to locate an exit route from Chelsea. Some reports claimed that the two England players could be involved in a blockbuster swap deal.

Chelsea were loosely linked with a move for Sancho earlier in the summer and it was mooted that the west Londoners might be prepared to send Sterling in the opposite direction. It remains to be seen where Sterling ends up, but he has just two days to find a new club or risk spending at least the first half of the season exiled from Enzo Maresca's first-team squad.

The 29-year-old has been told he will not be part of the Italian's plans for this season. He has been encouraged to find a new club and has even been stripped of his No 7 shirt, which was handed to new signing Pedro Neto.

There was minor interest in Sterling from Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Crystal Palace but neither club is expected to make a formal approach. A £325,000 per-week contract that still has three years to run is reported to be an obstacle to a departure.

The Guardian claims that Sterling wants discussions with Chelsea over his contract and questions have been raised over whether the Blues would need to pay him compensation if he joins a club on a drastically reduced salary.
