Manchester United are reportedly planning a major squad overhaul ahead of Friday's transfer deadline, with the club aiming to make one signing and offload three players.

The Red Devils have been making strides in their long-standing pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte. The Uruguayan was notably absent from PSG's matchday squad last week, sparking rumours of an imminent move.

If United can't secure a permanent deal, PSG are open to discussing a loan move for Ugarte, which hinges on Scott McTominay's departure. The deal could be changed to a permanent one if the Scot leaves according to the Manchester Evening News.

McTominay, 27, is seemingly on the brink of a switch to Napoli. While the final fee is yet to be agreed upon, with United holding out for £25m, it's anticipated that the deal will be finalised soon.

United are also looking to offload Jadon Sancho, who has attracted interest from Juventus. Chelsea have also been mooted as a potential destination for the winger.

Sancho, 24, was missing from the United matchday squad for the second consecutive week at Brighton, despite travelling with the team to the Amex Stadium.

Meanwhile, Hannibal Mejbri is drawing attention from Championship outfit Burnley. The 21-year-old hasn't started for United since November, having been loaned to Sevilla earlier this year with an option to buy included in the deal.

Mejbri's contract expires next year, making this week effectively United's last opportunity to command a fee for the player they purchased for £10m from Monaco when he was just 16.

United's preference is for outright sales unless a loan deal would aid them in meeting profitability and sustainability calculations.
