Jude Bellingham is reportedly being used by Real Madrid in an effort to entice England star Trent Alexander-Arnold to the Bernabeu. The two players were both part of Gareth Southgate’s squad at Euro 2024 as the Three Lions progressed to the final before losing to Spain.

Alexander-Arnold only started his country’s first two games at Euro 2024 but has carved out a reputation as one of the most technically gifted players in Europe during his time at Liverpool.

The 25-year-old has won the Champions League and Premier League in a Reds shirt but only has one more year remaining on his current Anfield deal.

Fabrizio Romano has explained that Real are attentive to players who are coming to the end of their contracts, with him reporting in March that the La Liga giants are monitoring Alexander-Arnold’s situation.

And according to AS, Bellingham has become a 'surprise agent' for Alexander-Arnold and is trying to convince the versatile player to move to Spain.

Bellingham is said to be on good terms with his England team-mate, with the duo buddying up during Euro 2024. And their relationship could prove vital to any decision the Liverpool ace makes.

Alexander-Arnold came through the Liverpool academy and was handed his Premier League debut by Jurgen Klopp at the end of 2016. He has gone on to make 310 first-team appearances, bagging 19 goals and 81 assists.

The blockbuster star also possesses Club World Cup, FA Cup and Carabao Cup silverware after becoming a key player under his former manager.

But if he does ultimately head through the Anfield exit, it would signify a complete U-turn on the stance he held when he was breaking through as a 20-year-old.

“There is nowhere else I’d rather be than Liverpool,” the player said in 2018. “Somewhere I want to stay for the rest of my career is Liverpool. It’s what I’ve always dreamed of. Liverpool are special. It’s completely down to the fans. Whether we are winning or losing we always have their love.”

Alexander-Arnold may believe he has achieved everything he can at Liverpool and may not have the desire to reset under new manager Arne Slot.

And if he does decide to join forces with Bellingham at Real Madrid, he would be linking up with one of the best players in the world.

Bellingham moved to the Bernabeu last summer following a three-year spell with Borussia Dortmund. And the 21-year-old went on to rack up 23 goals and 13 assists during his maiden campaign in Spain.
