Wolves boss O'Neil delighted with players for Forest draw

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil was happy after their 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Matheus Cunha struck twice for the hosts.

O'Neil said: "It was a good game, a hard fought game. You can see Forest are probably in a stronger moment than us with the way they finished the game, but a draw is probably a fair result. Forest will be disappointed not to win it late on at home with the territory they had, although they did not test Sa too much.

"The two goals we gave away were disappointing. Jose Sa will be disappointed with the first goal, a soft header into the middle of the net, I think the bounce deceived him slightly. That shouldn't result in a goal in a Premier League game. Second goal comes out of nothing. Long ball we don't deal with.

"We are very, very patched up. If you look at where we end up at the end of that game, with young players who have yet to do a professional loan, Traore playing as a right back, Chan having to play in a few positions having just come back. We worked hard and take a point away from home.

"We've got Cunha on limited minutes, probably pushed him a little over what he should have played today. Chan as well. Dawson is playing through some pain at the minute so may undergo some sort of surgery this week to help him. Semedo's hamstrings tightened up at the end, Sarabia was exhausted too.

"A really patched up group that gave everything today, showed menatality and courage. Another point away from home that takes us to 43 which is a good tally. There's a lot to piece together at the moment, which is why every points feels like a hard earned one."
