Burnley boss Vincent Kompany accepts his two-match ban he copped today.
Kompany was speaking before Saturday's clash with Brighton.
He said: "It's fair enough. I totally acknowledge that what I said in the moment does not reflect what I feel about the official and the integrity of someone. It was too harsh and it was not what I meant.
"The two are separate issues. I feel like I can fairly question the decision, but in the moment the emotions got the better of me, so it is fair.
"It's unfortunate because I want to be there for my team so in that sense, it is something that will probably annoy me on the day.
"It is a game of emotions, you have passion. You have so much belief when you build up to a game and especially in this league you just can't give an inch to anyone. It has been a long season so you do carry those events into the game sometimes.
"The most important part is to be able to recognise if you have made a mistake and move on.
"It will make things quite unpleasant for me on Saturday but I have full trust in my coaches and in my players and their ability to rise to the challenge. On match day, the players are the most important people and that's what we need to reflect."
