co-owner has reportedly held conversations about shipping three players off to OGC Nice this summer. Sir Jim's petrochemicals company INEOS holds a stake in both clubs, with business expected to be conducted between the pair as part of a mutually beneficial arrangement.

United were rumoured to be interested in Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo even before Sir Jim's takeover came about. The French defender has reportedly been joined by team-mates Melvin Bard and Khephren Thuram in a group of talented players who could head to the Premier League this summer, if senior figures at Old Trafford get their way.

Discussions behind the scenes have not only focused on who United could pluck from Nice's playing squad, but also who could benefit both clubs by heading in the other direction.

According to HITC, Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek have both been 'mentioned in conversations'. Neither player has managed to nail down a regular starting spot under Erik ten Hag.

RB Leipzig v Eintracht Frankfurt - Bundesliga

Eriksen has only started nine Premier League matches this term and the Dane has not completed a full 90 minutes this calendar year. Van de Beek, meanwhile, has made minimal impact since being shipped off to Eintracht Frankfurt on loan in January.

The duo's United contracts each expire in 2025, increasing the likelihood of a permanent sale this summer. Frankfurt retain the option to sign Van de Beek permanently for only £12.5million.

But if that move doesn't go through, Nice could be next in line to try and resurrect the former Ajax midfielder's career. Along with Eriksen and Van de Beek, fellow United misfit Anthony Martial is also being considered by Sir Jim's French side.

The 28-year-old, who has scored twice in 19 appearances this campaign, has not featured in any competition since early December. Martial reportedly intends to leave United this summer upon the expiration of his contract.

Ten Hag gives Man Utd team news update ahead of Chelsea clash

Sir Jim's link between the Premier League and Ligue 1 could see the forward return to his homeland for the first time in almost a decade. United signed Martial from AS Monaco in 2015 when he was still a teenager.

The frontman has racked up 90 goals in 317 games since, but he has not hit double figures since 2019/20 and remains a peripheral figure in Ten Hag's squad, particularly with Rasmus Hojlund now firing up top.
