Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis was livid with the referee after their loss to Liverpool.
The City Ground club lost 1-0 to the Reds through a late Darwin Nunez header.
Forest were left furious as in the lead-up referee Paul Tierney restarted a stoppage by giving the ball to Liverpool, despite the hosts originally having possession.
“The owner is quite upset because they fought," former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg, who now works for Forest, said.
“He has invested a lot of money in the football club and he wants to see results.
“He feels another decision has gone against the football club. Quite rightly, he's upset."
