Liverpool have reportedly been booked in for sessions with neuroscientists over the coming months in the hope of improving their chances of securing Premier League glory. Jurgen Klopp’s side have a chance of winning four trophies at present, having recently booked their spot in the EFL Cup final against Chelsea.

The Reds have enjoyed an impressive start to the season, winning 14 of their 21 league matches to put themselves five points clear at the top of the table. Klopp’s side have only tasted defeat on one occasion, with his summer reshuffle bearing fruit.
Liverpool shook up their midfield ranks ahead of the start of the season, allowing several ageing stalwarts to depart and replacing them with Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch.
The quartet have hit the ground running at Anfield and put their side on course to win all four trophies this season, including the Europa League and FA Cup. With no marquee arrivals expected for the remainder of the month, Liverpool have turned to neuroscientists to aid their campaign.
According to the Daily Mail, the Reds have booked sessions with German firm Neuro11 as they look to improve their chances of securing a monumental campaign and lifting the Premier League.
Liverpool worked with the neuroscientists in 2022 during their bid to land the Quadruple, and although they fell short of that target, Klopp’s side were impressed by the impact that the team of scientists made and are looking for further advice this season.

The Merseyside outfit are keen to help each player focus more in high-pressure moments and remain ‘in the zone’. Tailored plans are drawn up for each star to highlight how they can retain focus throughout matches and identify how they ‘fall out’ of the zone and consequently lose concentration and stop performing at their very optimum.
The neuroscientists will map out training sessions over the coming months which will see players wear electrodes on their heads to measure the activity of their brain and gain a true in-depth understanding of what each individual should be aware of when stepping onto the football pitch.
Klopp has never shied away from speaking about the mental strength which players require to compete in the Premier League, and he will be hoping that his squad working with specialist scientists will prove decisive during the business end of the season when the stakes are higher than ever.
