A charity that provides health behavioural education for children and their caregivers is seeking support to help those with special education needs. Be Priceless is one of the 11 beneficiaries of this year's Operation Santa Claus (OSC), an annual charity campaign holding fundraising projects for over 35 years. The founder of the organisation, Dr Czarina Leung, said Be Priceless is supporting children and carers through its SEED programme, which stands for self-value, empower, educate, and protect from dangers. "We teach them how to prevent, prepare, respond and recover from mental disorder, physical disorder, as well as relational safety issues including bullying and violence," Leung told RTHK. Leung said her organisation provided long-term workshops for children and their carers, especially when they are transitioning into a new phase in life. She added that with more support, her organisation would expand its network and help more children, including those with visual impairments and other disabilities. The foundation said Be Priceless would support 125 children and youth with special education needs, and 195 caregivers of the children. To find out more about the campaign, visit the Operation Santa Claus website at https://oschk.org/.
