Chief Executive John Lee on Saturday wrapped up his four-day duty visit to Beijing, making a last stop at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security in the capital before returning home. Lee, alongside Chief Secretary Eric Chan who arrived in Beijing on Friday, met Wang Xiaoping, the minister of human resources and social security, as well as other mainland officials. The chief executive had hoped that the exchange would provide insight to a recently established SAR committee on education, technology and talent. The group, which was announced in the latest Policy Address, is chaired by the chief secretary. The committee held its first meeting on Friday and agreed to review and improve existing schemes on attracting high-performing individuals.
