Swimmer Ian Ho has been eliminated from the men’s 100m freestyle event on Tuesday at the Olympic Games, finishing 55th overall. The SAR athlete, who is competing for the second time at the Games, finished sixth in his heat with a time of 51.46 seconds, 2.62 seconds behind the heat 5 winner Lamar Taylor of the Bahamas. "It's definitely a different experience, but it's a little more familiar, so I'm glad I can be here again,” he said. "I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself. Swimming is a sport where you can focus on yourself and do the best race that you can, and that's what I've tried to do over the past couple of days." Jack Alexy of the United States led all swimmers with a time of 47.57 seconds. Only the 16 fastest swimmers from the heats qualify for the semi-finals. Ho will also compete in the men’s 50m freestyle in Paris.
