Hong Kong swimmer Siobhan Haughey on Sunday booked a place in the women's 200m freestyle semifinals at the Paris Olympics. Haughey came second in her heat, 0.10 secs behind China's Li Bingjie. Her time of 1 min 56.38 secs was the fifth fastest overall. Haughey will compete in the semifinals, early Monday Hong Kong time. Among the SAR swimmer's main rivals are Australians Mollie O'Callaghan, who won gold in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay, as well as Ariarne Titmus, fresh from winning the 400m freestyle. Titmus also holds the world and Olympic records for the women's 200m freestyle. Haughey took silver in the 100m and 200m freestyle in the Tokyo Games three years ago.
