Taxi driver detained in Lai Kok Estate drugs bust

Police have arrested a taxi driver on suspicion of drug trafficking following an operation in Sham Shui Po on Tuesday. Officers detained the 35-year-old man after his taxi was stopped in Lai Kok Estate. The force said it seized 154 grammes of suspected methamphetamine, 23 grammes of suspected cocaine, 66 grammes of suspected ketamine, and 33 grammes of suspected cannabis oil in the car. Police said the suspected drugs had a street value of HK$140,000.
