Zamani Islands: A Sustainable Luxury Resort in the Maldives with Medical Spa and Superyacht Marina

There are already a ton of opulent resorts in the Maldives (172 as of this writing), but Atoll Estates is offering something new to the nation of South Asian islands. Founded by Amit Majumder and Dmitry Bourtov, two seasoned veterans of the hotel industry, the UAE-based company has created an incredible new destination with amenities never seen in the area before.

Spanning 500 hectares of an organic lagoon in the South Malé Atoll, Zamani Islands is home to eight distinct islands, three distinct resorts, an array of opulent private homes, and an abundance of facilities. Additionally, Atoll Estates promises that it will house the nation’s first medical spa and superyacht marina. Finally, according to the firm, Zamani Islands will be the first resort in the area to function entirely on renewable energy.

“We set out to design a resort that would benefit people and the environment from the beginning, with sustainability as its core value,” Majumder and Bourtov stated in a statement. “Zamani Islands will also set new standards for a lifestyle destination within the Maldives and globally within this framework.”

The three resorts, which were created in collaboration with the Dubai-based architecture firm Killa Design, provide visitors with various experiences. Elegant is all about “uber luxury,” Dvnes radiates “youthful vibes,” and Vibrant is all about “experiential luxury.” Choose from chic overwater villas or exquisitely furnished flats for your stay.

Zamani Islands, which are conveniently situated 21 miles from the main international airport, will also have mansions and private estates. Designed in collaboration with the Ukrainian design group YoDezeen, the oceanfront residences have four to eight bedrooms, modern, clean décor, and the best natural materials.

In addition, there will be a movie theater, a spa, a wellness center, a gym, and several private pools spread over several stories. Every house also has a dock at the harbor and a personal butler service. Along with full access to all resort facilities, owners will enjoy a yacht club, three spas, a convention center, and twenty-six dining options and bars. The largest underwater restaurant in the Maldives will be the centerpiece of the gastronomic offerings.

Sustainability will also be a major priority for the Zamani Islands. The resort may eventually generate up to 50% of its food and is intended to run entirely on renewable energy. In addition, Atoll Estates has put in place a program for the relocation and multiplication of coral reefs in addition to carefully choosing environmentally friendly building materials. This implies that you will have increased energy while visiting.
