Richemont appoints Louis Ferla as Chief Executive Officer of Cartier

As of September 1 of this year, Frenchman Louis Ferla, who has already been CEO of Vacheron Constanin since 2017, will assume the role as CEO of Cartier. He thus succeeds Cyrille Vigneron who, after eight successful years at the head of this Maison, has decided to retire. Mr. Vigneron does not disappear from the scene, as he will continue to assume the role of Chairman of Cartier Culture & Philanthropy.

Louis Ferla is praised by many for the way he has positioned the exclusive watch brand Vacheron Constantin, for his strategic vision and for his leadership qualities. His arrival is looked forward to and also the way he will help ensure the long-term success of Jewellery Maison Cartier.

Retiring CEO of Cartier Cyrille Vigneron is delighted to welcome Louis back to Cartier. He believes that his outstanding leadership qualities, exceptional business acumen and deep affinity with our house make him the ideal candidate for this role. Furthermore, Mr. Vigneron announces that he will retain his role as co-chair of the WJI2030 and will continue to support it as he has done for the past several years, along with Marie-Claire, Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer at Kering and WJI 2030 Co- founder. He takes the opportunity to thank all involved for their commitment and strong contribution, as well as Iris Vanderveken, Executive Director and Secretary General of WJI 2030 for her unwavering dedication.
