Skoda Elroq: 2025 EV to be first to use firm's new design language
ID 3-sized crossover is due to be unveiled later this year with over 300 miles of range

Skoda’s new Elroq EV will be the first to use the brand's new Modern Solid design language when it is launched later this year.

New sketches show the Volkswagen ID3-sized crossover adopting the brand's new Tech-Deck Face and fresh logo with lettering replacing the old Skoda emblem. The car also gets wraparound LED headlights.

Based on parent company VW's MEB platform, it will be Skoda’s second EV to reach showrooms, following the Skoda Enyaq.

It will sit in the line-up below the Enyaq and the upcoming, budget-friendly Epiq city SUV, taking on rivals such as the Volvo EX30 and MG 4. It is expected to be priced between £30,000 and £35,000.

The Elroq will use similar batteries to many of its Volkswagen Group siblings, with the 82kWh pack, which is offered in the Enyaq and offers that car a range of 348 miles, the most likely to power it at launch. A smaller, budget-friendly 58kWh pack will likely joing the range next year.

Inside, the Elroq gets a 13in touchscreen combined with an array of physical buttons that operate climate functions. Materials will be sustainably sourced, Skoda says, made from recycled bottles and clothes.
