ETTC: Ginny Buckley gives house hunters advice

Presenter Ginny Buckley certainly made an impression on her celebrity guest, as she confessed to going "too big" in the latest instalment of Celebrity Escape to the Country.

Ginny returned to host another episode of the celebrity version of the popular BBC series, this time aiding renowned singer Alfie Boe in his quest to find the perfect Sussex retreat for his family, away from the hustle and bustle of London life.

After viewing two impressive properties, Ginny presented a third, a six-bedroom stunner. While the house's exterior left Alfie in awe, the interior seemed overwhelming, prompting him to suggest it might be "too big".

Reflecting on the visit, Ginny admitted to her own misjudgement: "I think I've gone too big. I got carried away! I've been known to get a bit carried away at times in life and I think I have on this," reports Wales Online.

She continued: "It's not the space in terms of those rooms that you're really looking for."

Alfie, chuckling at the idea of needing six bedrooms, concurred, focusing instead on the layout: "It's the space in terms of the structure of the rooms, I suppose."

Despite the hiccup, Ginny didn't lose her stride and wowed Alfie with the grand reveal of the mystery house. The property was met with enthusiasm from the singer, hinting that an offer might just be forthcoming.

West End star Alfie left audiences hanging in suspense at the conclusion of the show by revealing his house hunt was far from over.

He commented: "The last house we saw was beautiful but that opened my mind to that specific area of Sussex. If houses like are available, I'd like to see what else is on the market just to keep my options open, not to jump for the first thing I suppose."

Despite the lack of an offer to close the episode, viewers expressed their dissatisfaction with the program's timing. One disgruntled fan remarked: "#Celebrityescapetothecountry would be better suited to BBC2, not on prime time BBC1 two days before Christmas. Where's the festive telly? Dull, dull, dull."

Another viewer was less than amused, adding simply: "As usual - a wasted hour."

Celebrity Escape to the Country is available to watch on BBC Iplayer.
