Naga and Charlie discuss who would play Carol in a movie
BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty was quick to respond to Carol Kirkwood after a cheeky 'dig' live on air.
The BBC show was back this morning for a new episode ahead of Christmas, with Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty anchoring the show. Carol Kirkwood was also on hand to chat about the weather.
During Thursday's show, they were chatting about Elton John's music video before talk turned to who would play Carol in a video, with Charlie quickly adding: "Who do you think would play Carol in the video?"
He then replied: "Well she's listening so I'm not going to say. I can feel her presence," as Naga added: "You can feel her eyes boreing into the side of you. Morning Carol!" Charlie then said: "I'm saying nothing."
"That's probably for the best Charlie," Carol chimed in to say, with Naga adding: "I should probably learn that lesson from time to time I think." Carol was quick to respond: "Absolutely Naga, that could be your new year's resolution."
Naga interrupted to say: "Yeah alright! Fat chance!" before everything turned more jovial as they asked how Carol was doing.
It comes after Naga announced a brand new project away from BBC Breakfast.
Sharing her excitement for her new book, which is coming in May 2025, she wrote: "IT’S PROBABLY NOTHING is an exploration of the healthcare difficulties women face, from being heard to diagnosed and treated.
"In the book, I share my own experiences as well as those of many others, speaking to doctors and experts at every step of the way. Pre-order it now #ItsProbablyNothing."
Her debut book is called It’s Probably Nothing: Critical Conversations on the Women’s Health Crisis, where she writes about the challenges faced by women looking for healthcare assistance. In it, she also opens up about her own adenomyosis diagnosis, where the tissue that lines the uterus grows into the muscular wall of the uterus.
Back in 2023, she opened up about her pain, where she shared: "The pain was so terrible I couldn't move, turn over, sit up. I screamed non-stop for 45 minutes. Right now as I sit here talking to you: I am in pain. Constant, nagging pain.
"In my uterus. Around my pelvis. Sometimes it runs down my thighs. And I'll have some level of pain for the entire show and for the rest of the day until I go to sleep."
