Jordan North says Chris Martin interview 'wasn't great'
Radio star Jordan North confessed he was left starstruck while recently speaking to a pop icon. The former I'm A Celeb star appeared on Thursday's instalment of This Morning to speak to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.
Jordan appeared alongside his Capital co-stars Chris Stark and Sian Welby to speak about the annual Jingle Bell Ball. The event took place at the start of December and will be shown on ITV over the weekend.
While speaking about the concert, which saw the likes of Becky Hill, Katy Perry and Tom Grennan perform, Jordan revealed there was one person he spoke to which left him dumbfounded.
Cat said: "You got a little bit starstruck at one stage, didn't you, Jordan?" He agreed, replying: "Yeah with Chris Martin from Coldplay."
When asked why he was blown away by the lead singer of the band, Jordan shared he'd been a fan of Coldplay for many years. He added: "I've been on the radio for years, but I've never actually interviewed him. I interviewed him for the first time, and it wasn't great."

As Cat burst into laughter, she was quick to wonder what had happened to make Jordan believe the interview didn't go as planned. The radio star replied: "He's (Chris Martin) not the easiest person to interview.
"Not in a malicious way! He's very shy, and he doesn't really like doing many interviews. At the end, I thought, 'That's going to need a really good edit!'"
His co-star cut in, joking that they weren't going to blame the interviewer at all as Jordan replied: "No, a bad tradesman never blames his tools or a good one."
However, when the interview with the Coldplay star wrapped up, Jordan was in for a surprise. He continued: "At the end, he went, 'That was a really good interview.'"
Jordan told the This Morning stars that Chris himself admitted he wasn't the best at interviews before giving him a small gift. Proudly showing it off, he was wearing the badge Chris had given him.
The Capital presenter shared he had taken it off of his own shirt to give to him. Cat replied: "It's like getting the Blue Peter badge from Chris Martin. Approved."
Although Jordan wasn't the only person on the sofa who had had an awkward encounter with a celebrity. Sian revealed their co-star Chris has the most famous out of them all when it came to embarrassing moments.
This Morning viewers then saw an old clip of Chris speaking to actress Mila Kunis when she featured in the film The Great and Powerful Oz back in 2013.
A fresh-faced Chris appeared asking Mila if she enjoyed being ugly in the movie as he said: "Genuinely, you're hot. So is being a witch a bit different?"
When they cut back to the studio they were all giggling as Cat commented: "You know what's brilliant about it? Is if Richard Curtis wrote a screenplay and it was bumbling presenter, that would be it!"
Ben called the moment a rite of passage as it was one of his first interviews. Chris replied: "I'm convinced that actually doing that and what it taught me was it is ok to be yourself and yes, I'm bumbling my way through that, but it was something a little bit different."
This Morning continues on weekdays on ITV from 10am.
