I'm a Celeb: Oti Mabuse gets emotional in camp
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! was full of emotional scenes on Thursday night.
During the latest episode, Oti Mabuse got tearful as she admitted she was missing her family in the Australia jungle and was struggling without her support system.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star and now Dancing On Ice judge, 34, said: "You know they say you have a dip, and I don’t think I’ve had one until now.
"You don’t have your normal support you know, you don’t have your spiritual support, you don’t have your emotional support, you don’t have your physical… it’s the mental and physical support for me which for me I was just like: 'Wow, ok none of my family’s around.'"
The campmates then clubbed together to comfort Oti, with Tulisa Contostavlos consoling her by saying: "Your jungle family’s here though."
Later in the episode, an emotional Oti admitted in the Bush Telegraph: "I just have to remind myself why I’m here, I just have to push and dig deep. I’m here for my daughter and I have to be strong. It’s just exhausting sometimes to be strong."
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were left heartbroken for Oti after her emotional admission. One person said: "Oti hate seeing you upset you are so strong #ImaCeleb", a different account put: "Protect Oti at all costs, I love her #ImACeleb", another wrote: "Awww Oti #ImACeleb" with crying emojis while another added: "Me on my way to Australia to give Oti a hug and to tell her how loved she is by the public #ImACeleb."
Elsewhere, a different account put: "I LOVE YOU OTI MABUSE #imaceleb", another wrote: "Oti is an angel #ImaCeleb", a different show watcher said: "Everyone comforting Oti protect her at all costs !! #ImACeleb" while another added: "Oti is an absolute sweetheart #ImACeleb."
It comes as family and friends of I'm A Celebrity stars Danny Jones, Oti and Tulisa were spotted jetting out to Down Under as one of the contestants is already a favourite to be booted out this week.
Ex-Strictly star Oti's mum, husband Marius and their baby daughter touched down in Brisbane earlier this week to cheer her on. Oti’s husband Marius Iepure said it’s been “so nice” to look after their daughter while Oti is in the jungle.
He continued: “I love it. We couldn’t get out of the plane because she was still sleeping! She’s so good. We have the best baby ever.”
Marius also said he is excited for their eventual reunion, as he revealed: "Oh my God, yeah. You can imagine. And this one [their baby] cannot wait."
Asked how he felt about Oti going on the show, he said: "We were discussing this for a few years, how it would be, and she always said she would love to do it."
