Coronation Street: Carla confronts Betsy over the attack
Coronation Street enthusiasts have been left sceptical about Carla Connor's rapid recovery following life-saving brain surgery.
After Monday's episode saw her struck on the head by an unknown assailant, the dire state of the factory owner led to an emergency rush to the hospital and an immediate theatre visit.
Yet by Wednesday's episode (November 27), Carla seemed to have made an astonishing improvement. Surrounded by Roy Cropper and Ryan Connor at her hospital bed, she was surprisingly coherent.
Towards the finale of the episode, post Betsy - DC Swain's daughter's visit, Carla deduced that Betsy was her attacker. However, fans were unconvinced by her swift bounce back and expressed their scepticism online.
A perplexed viewer remarked: "How come Carla has had a brain bleed but isn't having probs speaking or moving her arms? It's so unrealistic. She has had a brain bleed (STROKE) and has no symptoms whatsoever," reports Lancs Live.

Another observed: "Even just having surgery after a bleed on the brain, Carla is better at working things out than Wethy police [sic]."
One fan quipped: "Wetherfield Hospital is amazing. Brain Surgery with full ICC care to fully upright In 25 minutes." And another shared their amazement at Carla's post-surgery sharpness: "Carla being as sharp as ever even after brain surgery! She's wasted in the factory, she should have been a Detective. Ali King nailing every scene, the humour with Roy and Ryan, the angst with Lisa and Betsy."

Another remarked: "Bleed on brain and Carla hours later putting all the pieces together....okayyy.." Meanwhile, a sixth audience member quipped: "Carla's bleed on the brain recovery must be the quickest in NHS history."
Having confronted Betsy regarding her role in the assault, Carla was resolute about informing Betsy's mother of the circumstances.
However, as the episode progressed, Carla seemed to reconsider her stance, ultimately choosing not to inform DC Swain about the attack and proceeded to express just how "good" she believes Betsy is.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1
