I'm A Celeb: Dean has harsh words with Alan Halsall in tense scenes

The stars of this year's I'm A Celeb have been in the jungle for a little over a week now as they've settled into jungle life. Although Alan Halsall and Tulisa Contostavlos have had a little more luxury than most.

During the first episode, the duo partnered together and won the race to become the first camp leaders. This meant they got to sleep in the Leaders’ Lodge, with mattresses and comfy bedding.

However, it looks as though there could potentially be a romance blossoming between the pair. On Monday's episode of Lorraine, the Scottish star spoke to Alan's Coronation Street co-star Andy Whyment.

When speaking about whether a romance could be on the cards for them both, Andy said: “Well they seem to be getting on really well, don’t they? We know they’ve been sharing the hideout at the top so I’m sure they’ve been having a few conversations there and obviously, they won the first trial together on the very first show.

"Listen, good luck to him. He’s obviously a single lad and I think Tulisa is single so we shall see what happens. Watch this space.” However, Andy did pass some jungle wisdom onto his soap co-star after he appeared on the programme himself.

Andy explained that he told Alan to try and make sure he gets a bed while in the camp. He added: "For me, sleeping in a hammock was so tough. I really struggled with it.”

It's not only Andy who has been speaking about Alan's appearance in the jungle as Claire Sweeney revealed her on-screen son is being quieter than he usually is.

While speaking to Kate Garraway on Good Morning Britain she commented: "Isn't he wonderful? I know Maureen Lipman came on here and she said he'll start off quietly just watch and observe and then he'll come forward.

"That's what he'll do, he's brilliant Alan, he's such a funny guy. He's smart, he's sensitive, he's a really brilliant personality." Although she was quick to call out bosses, demanding he get more air time.

She added: "In the first episode he wasn't quiet because he had the big trial with Tulisa and he really shone in that didn't he? He's sitting back at the moment. I think he will, he needs more airtime."

Recently in the show, there have been a few bed-switching scenarios over the past few days, following the arrival of latecomers Maura Higgins and Richard Coles.

Initially, Richard was given a hammock to sleep in, although Strictly's Oti Mabuse offered up her bed after he commented on not sleeping well. Maura and Richard joined the main camp on Saturday night after spending their time in the Jungle Junkyard.

However, they were tasked with a stomach-churning eating trial in order to earn starts for their buffet. The pair were successful and the camp enjoyed a spread of hotdogs, chicken nuggets, burgers and chips.

They were then treated to possum the following night after Coleen Rooney and Dean McCullough's nine star win. Dean is set to face yet another Bushtucker Trial on Monday night as he's been voted by the public to take part in 'Jack and The Scream-Stalk'.

Will the radio star be able to earn more stars for the camp in a solo trial? Currently, Dean's odds to win the show has dropped after his spat with Alan Halsall.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Coleen Rooney has been a notable mover in the outright betting for this year’s I’m A Celeb crown over the past few days.

“Rooney has seen her price quartered, as she was backed in from 10/1 to 5/2 over the weekend, edging ever-closer to market leader Danny Jones (EVS). Maura Higgins has also been popular with viewers and has been backed into 5/1 from 10/1.

“The same can’t be said for Dean McCullough, who, having received mixed reactions from the public after poor trial performances and a spat with Alan Halsall, has seen his odds fly out to 40/1.”

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! continues weeknights on ITV from 9pm.
