Emmerdale: Cain Dingle kisses Ruby Fox-Miligan
Emmerdale viewers were left on the edge of their seats as Cain Dingle, played by Jeff Hordley, had to face the music when his wife Moira Dingle, portrayed by Natalie J Robb, underwent critical brain surgery in a bid to remove a tumour.
The ITV soap delivered heart-wrenching scenes on Wednesday (November 20) showing Moira's courage as she faced the operation while Cain, struggled with the enormity of the situation, drowned his fears in alcohol and reckless behaviour.
The unfolding drama threw a curveball with the narrative told in reverse, beginning with a grim discovery; Caleb Miligan (William Ash) stumbled upon his half-brother drunk and battered.
As Cain sought refuge in whisky at his garage, he was unexpectedly joined by Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly), leading to an astonishing moment between the two.
Ruby, surprised to find her brother-in-law Cain at the garage rather than at the hospital alongside Moira, walked into a tension-filled atmosphere. "Why you in my garage", asked Cain, with Ruby retorting: "Someone I wasn't bothered about seeing."

Sparks flew in spite of Cain's chaotic emotional state, as the two shared a sudden, fiery kiss which escalated rapidly, a fact hinted at by their post-encounter attire adjustments.
The betrayal ignited a firestorm among Emmerdale's devoted followers, with many voicing their displeasure online. Disappointed fans expressed their thoughts with comments like: "Cain taking not dealing with his emotions to a whole new, unnecessary level #emmerdale."
Another fan clearly distraught, lamented: "All I've got to say after seeing tonight's #Emmerdale earlier is what the hell were you thinking Cain and Ruby! #Emmerdale."

A third viewer expressed their discontent, saying: "Why did Cain do that man. Not Ruby #Emmerdale #nothappy." A separate fan fumed: "Tomorrow episode Cain story better be a fake reality because I don't know what #Emmerdale was thinking".
Another disgruntled fan said: "The Ruby thing was ridiculous, I hate how #emmerdale always has to make important storylines into a farce".
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
