Stacey Dooley is opening up about her experiences of motherhood in her latest book. The TV presenter and journalist, who is a proud mum to nearly two-year-old Minnie, has kept her personal life largely private since becoming a mother, and is ready to share the joys, challenges, and revelations that come with raising a child.
Taking to Instagram to announce her exciting news, Stacey revealed that her third book, Dear Minnie: Conversations with Remarkable Mothers, is now complete. The heartfelt title not only references her beloved daughter but also acts as a loving address, as Stacey writes directly to Minnie in her exploration of motherhood.
The 37-year-old TV star shared a video of herself holding her book with the caption: "'DEAR MINNIE'. A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to this book, truly. Stacey received an outpouring of support in the comments from friends and followers, with her former Strictly co-star Dianne Buswell cheering her on with: "Well done you super star," while her boyfriend Kevin Clifton sweetly added: "Well done baby."
The mum-of-one has been open about her experiences as a first-time parent, sharing candid insights into the challenges she faces. In a recent interview with The Sun, she laughed about the exhaustion, saying: "Do you know what's hilarious? You're so tired and sometimes you really feel like you're in the trenches, it's a haze and you're just trying to figure it all out."
"I’d love to have more babies, but I asked Kev the other day, 'Don't you want to do this again?' and he replied, 'Are you nuts? You're over-tired!'... I’ve had one, and I feel like I’m completely failing!"
Just last month Dooley expressed her joy as her young one reached a huge milestone. Stacey uploaded a sweet image of Minnie appearing to sit in the couple's lavish living room, enjoying some quiet time on the sofa. Showing off the 22-month-old's outfit, she penned a cheeky caption in reference to how quickly her daughter is growing up.
"Minnie's now 18 and off to [university]," she joked as she shared the picture of her daughter appearing to wear a spooky costume for Halloween. Minnie looked to be wearing a skull and cross bones hat, as well as matching shoes and a black skirt.
Stacey's time on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 was another defining chapter in her career. The TV presenter and journalist, known for her hard-hitting documentaries, was paired with her now partner Kevin Clifton.
In the final, Stacey and Kevin wowed the judges and audiences with their performances, ultimately winning the coveted Strictly Glitterball Trophy.
