Margie Cooper "wasn't laughing" as she suffered a guttening loss at auction on the latest episode of Antiques Road Trip. The BBC show watched as she and co-star Tim Medhurst went head to head to find the biggest bargains in the Welsh valleys.
Eyeing up a spoon that cost £10, Margie said: "Oh that's nice!" She went on to admire the details as she said: "That is a silver, art deco, unmarked spoon.
"It's got a planished bowl. Can you see? That's been hammered. Deco is such a great thing to collect, very stylish. Look how stylish that is. And it's been hand made.
"So it says peuter on the label, that's why it says it's £10. But I'm almost certain that it's silver."
Giving her expected valuation, the antiques expert said: "I think that's worth about £30. I'm going to buy that and I think that will sell well at auction. I'm quite pleased with that, it's put a smile on my face, but I could do with five more to make a nice set of six and then I'd smile even more!"
In total, Margie spent £170 on five items to go to auction, meanwhile Tim spent £148 for his five lots. Being hopeful as her spoon went under the hammer, Margie joked: "I can't lose much can I?"
Tim replied: "No, I'm quite jealous. I'd have snapped that up for a tenner."
The bidding began at half the price that the TV presenter paid, with £5 being offered up quickly. However, the offers soon came to an abrupt end with the auctioneer stopping bidding at just £8.

Margie held her head in her hands, failing to hide her utter disappointment. After previously laughing at her co-star's laugh, she wryly said: "I'm not laughing now, am I?"
Overall, Margie didn't have much luck at auction. She had a loss off £5.96. Tim came out on top, making a grand total profit of £125.10.
As his win was announced, he said to Margie: "Mixed emotions because it's our last auction but we did so well, didn't we? But it's our last one. I'm going to really miss you."
