Deal or No Deal player finds out there is £7,500 in their box

Deal Or No Deal fans were thrilled with one contestant's well-earned victory, although they could have won a larger sum.

Host Stephen Mulhern returned for another suspense-filled episode on Thursday afternoon (October 31), featuring an eager contestant hoping to hit the jackpot. This time, it was Mike's turn to take the hot seat and challenge the notorious banker in this ultimate game of chance.

Mike started off strong, eliminating most of the blue boxes with lower values in the initial round. However, halfway through the game, Mike's luck took a turn for the worse as he missed out on the opportunity to win the grand prize of £250,000.

This was soon followed by a loss of £50,000. With the banker only making low offers, things seemed grim for Mike and his wife Penny, who was watching from the audience.

But towards the end of the programme, fortune began to favour Mike. The firefighter managed to clear all his remaining blue boxes, leaving him with £2,000, £3,000 and £7,500, reports the Daily Star.

With the banker clearly on edge, Mike was subsequently offered £5,950 for his box. Unsure of what to do, Mike eventually decided to accept the deal on offer.

However, it was then time to reveal what was in his box. Unfortunately for Mike, it contained a whopping £7,500.

Despite the significant loss, Mike remained upbeat, insisting that he was content with the result. Viewers at home, who had watched the rollercoaster game, also applauded his decision, despite the substantial loss involved.

One admirer voiced: "Pleased for him well deserved."

Another supporter conveyed: "Well done Mike on winning £5950 very well deserved, what a humble guy."

A different fan remarked: "A last-minute deal was struck for £5,950!! Great job, Mike... but he could have had £7,500 had he just turned that last offer down."

Elsewhere, an individual couldn't contain their excitement: "Shame, didn't quite thrash the Banker, but good game. Thanks for all you and your guys do Mike!!"
