Michael McIntyre says Richard Madeley was 'frisky' with wife Judy

Richard Madeley, the  Good Morning Britain star, gave a cheeky response during his appearance on The Wheel. On Saturday night, Michael McIntyre welcomed a host of celebrities including Leigh Francis, Susan Wokoma, Laura Whitmore, Ade Adepitan, Ayda Field, Jamie Laing, Sophie Habboo and Richard himself.

Interestingly, Ayda was surprised by her superstar husband, Robbie Williams, who decided to stay with her throughout the show after making a surprise entrance.

Observing the couple's affectionate behaviour, Michael commented: "After 14 years of marriage, that's amazing! " He then turned to Jamie and Sophie, noting their closeness and joking about feeling like a third wheel.

In a playful exchange, he said to Richard: "So awkward, I don't know what to do with myself! If only Judy (Finnigan) was here. You'd show them how it's really done, wouldn't you Dickie?"

To which Richard responded with a smile: "Absolutely."

The pair, known for their long-standing stint as hosts of This Morning, have been married since 1982.

Michael further teased Richard about his romantic nature on This Morning, commenting: "You've always been very frisky on This Morning, I remember back in the day, always."

To which Richard laughingly replied: "Who wouldn't be with Judy?!", Michael concluded: "Yes, I know! That's what I love about you, very romantic."

As the tension soared in the climactic moment of the show, Richard was bestowed with the hefty task of assisting the final contestant, Livvi, in her quest to win a tidy sum, reports the Mirror.

The BBC host clarified to an excited Livvi that selecting the Good Morning Britain veteran as her quiz ally could lead to a staggering £90,000 reward.

Resolved to snag the top prize, Richard visibly crumbled under the high stakes. The experienced 68-year-old broadcaster buried his face in his hands while Michael shouted:"It's happening again!"

To which Richard responded: "Twice in a row. You know this is ageing me. I've aged 10 years in the last three because of this."

Further on, Michael recounted how Richard had previously found himself in an identical nerve-wracking scenario, having steered another contestant to a jaw-dropping £92,000 jackpot.

Amused, Michael quipped: "He is making more money for other people than he's making!"

Laughing, Richard conceded, admitting the statement was indeed accurate. The finale question was about herbs as Livvi was challenged to identify which one from four choices possessed a flavour similar to liquorice.

Eventually, under the intense spotlight, Richard confidently suggested Tarragon as the probable winner, prompting Livvi to follow his counsel.

When Michael unveiled the correct answer, securing Livvi a robust £90,000, emotions ran high. The ecstatic contestant dashed towards Richard and enveloped him in a heartfelt embrace.

The Wheel is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
