Strictly judges dress up for Halloween week

Strictly Come Dancing's Halloween extravaganza during week six had the audience at the edge of their seats, with 11 contenders eager to impress the judges. But it was Aljaz Skorjanec's outfit that stole the show during his eerie performance.

Aljaz and his celebrated partner Tasha Ghouri performed a samba to "I Like to Move It" by Reel 2 Real, dressed in Frankenstein-inspired outfits. Aljaz wore a ghoulish green face, an exaggerated quiff, and bolts adorning his neck.

However, the performance took an unexpected turn when one bolt flew off his neck just moments into the dance, followed by the second making its escape post-performance, much to the amusement of Strictly enthusiasts.

Fans immediately took to social media platforms to express their delight, with comments such as: "Aljaz losing both his neck bolts from sweating is so funny to me #strictly."

Others joined in the banter saying: "Aljaz has a bit of a screw loose. Seriously. He's missing one after his dance. And he's about to lose another. #SCD #Strictly", and "Aljaz has lost a bolt," paired with a shocked emoji, reports the Mirror.

Despite the costume catastrophe, the duo danced their way to a historical 37 points, the highest-ever score for a Halloween samba, and enough to top the leaderboard.

Head judge Shirley Ballas lauded them afterward, saying they had "combined character and technique, very impressive."

JB Gill narrowly avoided elimination last week after facing ex-footballer Paul Merson in the dreaded dance-off.

However, according to the latest odds from the bookies, Dr. Punam Krishan is now the favourite to be sent home this week with odds of 2/1.

Sam Quek follows closely behind at 7/2, while Pete Wicks is listed at 5/1.

In contrast, comedian Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne Buswell remain the favourites to win Strictly, with their odds of being eliminated increasing from 200/1 to 250/1 despite fewer couples left in the competition.

The Strictly Come Dancing live show airs every Saturday on BBC One and iPlayer, and the results show will follow on Sunday.
