Escape to the Country: Ginny calls guest brave after death of husband
During the latest episode of Escape to the Country, Ginny Buckley had to issue a gentle caution to two hopeful homebuyers exploring Devon's property market.
On Friday's show, Maria and Baz, who had a £400,000 budget, were on the hunt for a detached residence boasting at least three bedrooms. Host Ginny had meticulously selected several potential homes for them to have a look at.
The duos house-hunting escapade began promisingly with the viewing of a barn conversion which, although not detached, still captivated their interest. The property parade was nothing short of impressive; especially a South Brent locale that utterly enchanted Maria.
Yet Baz expressed concern over its proximity to a main road. After looking at the first two homes, Ginny whisked the couple away to Dartmoor, allowing them to witness the beauty of the wildlife, reports Devon Live.
Eager to gauge their leanings after stretching their bounds, Ginny asked: "We've pushed you out of your comfort zone a bit, have we, Maria?"

Maria affirmed with excitement: "Totally! But we've enjoyed it. I think we probably needed it, and we may have found the property."
Nonetheless, Ginny cautioned: "Don't peak too soon! We've got another day of house-hunting tomorrow."
It turned out the BBC star's words were prescient as the third home they toured struck an immediate chord, stirring deep emotions from them both.
Maria was utterly captivated by the semi-detached stone Grade II building in Broadhempston, confessing to the cameras: "I like everything about this property.
"When we first stood outside, I actually felt quite tearful because it wasn't something that I expected to see within our budget."
She continued, beaming with excitement: "I just like the whole package, and to hear that it's well below our top budget is just even better."
Joining in the enthusiasm, Baz said, "I walked in and I got a really good feel for it."
As they wrestled with their decision, the couple later revealed to Ginny their predicament between the Broadhempston home and the mystery house in Churston Ferrers.
Reflecting on their options, Maria added, "We're going to stay in the area and check out both localities and then look at second viewings."
Wrapping up the episode, Ginny announced to the audience: "I'm delighted to report that it was the mystery house that finally won Maria and Baz over.
"They put an offer in, and we've got everything crossed that things work out for them here in Devon."
