Emmerdale fans are certain that Debbie Dingle is set to make a comeback following the revelation of Zak Dingle's death.
During Monday's (October 14) heart-wrenching visit to the village, the tragic passing of Zak (played by Steve Halliwell) was announced, with the news reaching his son Cain (Jeff Hordley).
In recent episodes, Cain travelled to Scotland to visit his daughter Debbie (Charley Webb), who was residing with her ailing father Zak. Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) was pleased to chat with her husband over the phone and queried if he was behind the wheel.
However, shortly after, Moira ended the call and suffered an absent seizure, injuring herself while preparing breakfast.
The farmer, currently battling a brain tumour, had to be helped by her son Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), but Moira was frustrated by her inability to perform even the simplest tasks, reports the Manchester Evening News.
In an unexpected turn of events, Moira received a call from the hospital confirming her brain surgery could proceed the next day due to a cancellation. The invitation left her frightened, but she chose not to share the news with Cain.
Fearing the high-risk operation, Moira invited Matty to accompany her on a walk across the fields to her late daughter Holly's (Sophie Powles) gravesite.
Eventually, Moira consented to the operation but was taken aback when Cain unexpectedly returned home, intending to surprise her.
Cain was told by a hopeful Zak about his eagerness to return home, yet Moira remained silent on her scheduled procedure the following day.
Matty discreetly exited before Cain made his way upstairs for a shower. In his absence, Debbie's call came in.
Struggling to hold back her tears, Moira delivered the devastating news of Zak's passing. As the Dingle family grapples with grief, Emmerdale viewers have taken to social media to speculate on Debbie's potential comeback after her conversation with Moira.
