Phillip Schofield's Channel 5 finale of Cast Away left audiences gobsmacked and reaching for the remote as he dashed into the ocean stark naked. The former This Morning host, 62, marked his television comeback with a nearly 10-days stint on an isolated isle off the coast of Madagascar.
Phillip laid bare personal reflections about his television career crumbling and made pointed remarks about those who abandoned him at the height of the scandal.
The star also revealed that despite his profound passion for TV, a daytime television comeback or partnerships with certain industry figures are firmly off the table for him. In a jaw-dropping final night spectacle on the Madagascan shore, Phillip set tongues wagging with a risque skinny dipping escapade.
Having positioned his camera towards the sea, he stripped off all garments and bolted for a nocturnal dip in the surf, prompting distaste among numerous Channel 5 viewers.

In another segment of the show, Schofield opened up about his ordeal with the paparazzi and pondered over the moment he sensed his career slipping away following the conviction of his brother, Timothy, 54, for 11 counts of child sexual offences between October 2016 and October 2019.

"We were praised by the police and we got justice done. Even when they knew all of the facts the papers made me to be some complicit agent. My poor mum, I had to tell her about that member of the family and I had to go through everything with the hierarchy at ITV so they knew that I hadn't done anything wrong."
