Strictly Come Dancing viewers took to social media to express their discontent with the format of the results show on Sunday. Traditionally, the programme kicks off with a performance by the professional dancers, but this week Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman introduced the show instead.
Fans flocked to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts, with many expressing their disappointment at the change. One viewer wrote: "That was a very weird opening. Why did Tess and Claud introduce the pro number? #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly."
Others echoed this sentiment, with one asking: "Why are we not starting straight into a pro number please stop changing the format it's weirding me out #strictly."
Another fan commented: "Something feel off this year like they are formatting the show differently? I don't like it #Strictly."
However, not all fans were unhappy with the change, with one writing: "This is incredible... #strictly", reports the Mirror.

Following last week's launch for the 22nd series (September 14), figures indicated the first show was watched by almost a million fewer viewers than 2023.
An average of 5.5million viewers tuned in between 7.20pm and 9pm, in comparison to 6.2million for the launch show last year.
On Saturday's show, Strictly fans took to social media to comment within seconds about Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly's outfits. The second week of the BBC dance competition kicked off in style with Tom Dean and Nadiya taking to the floor.
Followers of the show couldn't help but comment that the pair looked like the characters Glinda and Elphaba from the musical, Wicked.
One person said: "tess & claud look like elphaba and glinda its kinda slaying #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly."
A second person commented: "Tess and Claudia feeling a bit of Elphaba and Glinda tonight? #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly." As a third typed: "Close enough, welcome back Elphaba and Glinda #Strictly #SCD #StrictlyComeDancing."
