Loose Women's Kaye Adams and Nadia Sawalha have opened up about their co-star Ruth Langsford following her split from husband Eamonn Holmes.

The couple, both 64, had been together for over two decades before confirming their separation in May, with divorce proceedings underway.

Since then, the public interest in the former couple has remained high, with an update on Ruth being shared at the National Television Awards (NTAs) on Wednesday night. At the event, Kaye, 61, and Nadia, 59, spoke about Ruth's wellbeing post-separation and how the Loose Women team has rallied around her.

Speaking to The Sun, Kaye said: "She's doing great, while Nadia added that Ruth "looks amazing". When asked about the bond between the panelists, Kaye stated: "We're friends and that's what friends do. And we've all had highs and lows and we've all supported each other."

A group of Loose Women panellists graced the NTAs on Wednesday, following the show's nomination in the Daytime category. The nominees included This Morning, the Repair Shop, Deal or No Deal and the Chase, reports the Mirror.

At one point, the panelists were seen posing together on the red carpet, however, Ruth was noticeably absent from the group, leaving it uncertain whether she attended the event.

Recently, there has been speculation that neither Eamonn - who is believed to have moved on with a new relationship - nor Ruth would be present at this year's NTAs.

Over the years, while they were together, the former couple were considered regular attendees at the star-studded event.

Earlier this year, Ruth and Eamonn announced their separation. In May, they issued a joint statement which read: "[They] have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."

The pair, who first met in 1997 and tied the knot in 2010, previously worked together on ITV's This Morning. They share a son, Jack, 22.
