Graham Norton asks 'too many' questions on Saturday Kitchen

Graham Norton found himself running away from Matt Tebbutt as the presenter issued a brutal three-word verdict.

The TV talk show host, 61, appeared on the latest instalment (September 7) of Saturday Kitchen to discuss his new book, Frankie. Matt, 50, revealed that the main character in Graham's book is particularly good at making a béarnaise sauce.

However Graham was unsure if the recipe in the book was correct as he asked the BBC host if it worked. "It's a standard béarnaise recipe - without chives. That was a bit strange," he replied.

Probing more about the recipe, Graham asked if heating the butter separately was a "modern thing". The 50-year-old responded: "I think it's a classic thing," before revealing you add clarified butter.

"What is clarified butter?" Graham asked. While explaining the process, Graham interjected: "So do you put that through the sieve then?"

Matt let out a high sigh as he declared: "So many questions!" The Irish presenter dashed to the other side of the kitchen counter as a worried expression came across his face.

Graham's appearance on the BBC show caught the eyes of viewers, with several claiming he looked particularly orange. "FFS … Graham Norton is more orange than his shirt! And his shirt is very very orange," one fan wrote on social media.

"Has Norton been Tango'd today?" asked a second. Another joked: "Orange is the new black…" Also taking aim at the presenter, a fourth declared: "Perfectly-matched shirt with skin tone by Graham Norton."

It comes after Matt revealed how swearing live on BBC once left him "mortified". However, the TV chef admitted the controversial moment eventually paid off, leading to an exclusive invite landing in his inbox.

Speaking to The Independent, Matt recalled: "I called Peter Gordon [New Zealand chef] a f*****g genius, under my breath. I had to apologise, I was mortified."

Following the 2017 incident, Matt said: "Earlier in the show I may have used some bad language out of all the excitement so big apologies for that, I wasn't aware of it, I was getting carried away in the whole moment of things."

After saying sorry for his outburst, Matt claimed he later received a note from the 61-year-old’s personal assistant. “[They said], ‘Our website has crashed, would you like to come for lunch?"
