Celebrity Race Across the World : Jeff talks about son's ADHD

Jeff Brazier has opened up in a poignant admission about the pride he feels for his son Freddy, following the youngster's diagnosis with ADHD.

While participating in BBC's Celebrity Race Across the World series, Freddy shared insights into his early life with the audience.

As the pair undertook tasks in the South American wilderness, Freddy reflected on how school had been a struggle for him and how concentrating had always been a challenge.

He disclosed that at the age of 10, he was diagnosed with ADHD and clarified to viewers that his actions were never intended to be disruptive, expressing: "I don't think I was bad but I weren't good."

Showing a heartfelt understanding of his son's unique perspective, Jeff spoke directly to the audience, saying: "I couldn't hazard a guess on how Fred's mind works but I know he's going to do something amazing in his lifetime."

Jeff continued to express his vision for his son's future role in society, stating: "We need the pioneers, we need the people that give a completely different opinion. That's what Fred's role is gonna be," reports Wales Online.

"And I see it. I've always seen it and I look forward to him realising it, one day it's all gonna click and fall into place."

After witnessing these touching moments, fans flooded to X, previously known as Twitter, to share their sentiments. One user commented: "So much love for Jeff and Freddy."

Another fan suggested: "Jeff and Freddy need their own TV show after #CelebrityRaceAcrossTheWorld. They are just wonderful to watch."

A third fan expressed their dismay, commenting: "Breaks my heart a little, hearing Freddy feels inadequate. At that age, you should just feel free and have fun, without having those doubts."

And a fourth enthusiastic viewer remarked: "Excited to watch @JeffBrazier and Freddy on @RATW_official again! Awesome duo!"

Despite their initial lead last week, the dynamic duo of Freddy and Jeff faced issues that saw them losing their frontrunner status, ultimately coming in at fourth place.

In contrast, despite several mishaps including Kola Bokinni misplacing his passport, Kola and his cousin Mary managed to clinch third place, leaving them both shocked yet even more motivated to aim for the top spot.
