TM: Lauryn Goodman says she doesn't regret having kids
Lauryn Goodman has found herself stuck in 'no man's land' following her court bout with football ace Kyle Walker, she confessed on This Morning.
Chatted up by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, Lauryn gave a heartfelt account of her legal battle with the Manchester City star, who fathered her two kids, Kairo, aged four, and a daughter he allegedly hasn't seen.
Lauryn expressed her uncertainty to the presenters: "I don't know [what I will tell them]. I didn't know I was going to have a second child so I couldn't predict the future. I'll just have to navigate it day by day. At the moment, Kairo's asking a lot but where he's trained away a lot, I've kind of got that easy story at the moment. I just have to navigate it the best I can as long as they're protected."
Promising candour to her children about their famous father's absence, she declared: "I'm currently in no man's land with that at the moment, I don't think there's a right or wrong answer for it."
Exploring new beginnings, Lauryn unfurled her reasons for joining Celebs Go Dating: "In one sense, people are saying you're not over your ex why are you going on it but others are saying now is a good a time as any, you need to get back out there and heal from everything."
When Ben pressed on whether this was thrusting her children back into the limelight, she was clear: "I've always been in the public eye - but my kids' faces are always private on Instagram. We live a private life in terms of people don't know what we get up to."
Lauryn reflected on her decade-long connection with Kyle Walker which began through her sister and shared pals, evolving from friendship into a more complex situation due to the legal case, reports the Daily Record.
She confessed about their current status: "We have no relationship and everything's dealt with through the lawyers. It's really really difficult because Kairo asks a lot about his dad."
She also spoke about the challenges of dealing with their questions amid such a strained situation. Despite the tumult, she asserted that personal privacy and amicability were always her intentions, remarking on the undesired publicity: "It was never what I wanted."
