The Umbrella Academy trailer for the final season on Netflix

The Umbrella Academy has introduced Jean and Gene into the fold with fans curious to know more about their real-life romance.
Season four spells the beginning of the end of the Netflix drama with the show wrapping up for good following its release on Thursday, August 8. For the final outing, the siblings meet the leaders of the Keepers, an organisation that wants to restore the one true timeline, Gene and Jean Thibedeau (portrayed by Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally).
The odd pair have caught the attention of subscribers, especially fans of the comedic actors bringing Gene and Jean to life in Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy.
The Umbrella Academy newbies Gene and Jean are portrayed by real-life husband and wife duo Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally.
While Nick is best known for portraying Ron Swanson in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, Mullally was behind Karen Walker in fellow NBC series Will And Grace. And it was during the early days of Will And Grace that Mullally’s path first crossed with her future husband’s.
Nick and Megan met in 2000 when they both starred in the play The Berlin Circle at the Evidence Room Theatre in Los Angeles.
Megan told Buzzfeed in 2013: "We had a lot of scenes together, and I started thinking: 'Wait a minute, he's funny.' And then I started thinking: 'Wait a minute, is he cute?' What's happening?".
She also opened up to New York Magazine in 2010, explaining that they didn’t start dating until after the previews of The Berlin Circle but haven’t been apart since.
The couple got engaged in London in 2002 and married a year later at their Los Angeles home in 2003 the night before the Emmy Awards.
Over the years, they’ve worked on numerous projects together, along with making cameos in Parks and Recreation and Will And Grace.
Some of these have included The Kings Of Summer, Hotel Transylvania and Stealing Harvard, as well as co-writing the 2018 book The Greatest Story Ever Told and hosting the podcast In Bed With Nick And Megan.
While it does seem as if the couple are always working, it is also important for them to both take a step back from time to time.
Megan told People in 2016: "My favorite thing to do is just stay home with the dogs and read or watch movies and be together. We really like each other, and we try to treat each other well.
"I feel like Nick and I have the best relationship and the best marriage."
