A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder is a BBC iPlayer special but where was the six-part series shot?
The BBC drama is based on the teen novel of the same name by author Holly Jackson which was originally published in 2019.
The mystery book series centres on 17-year-old Pip (played by Emma Myers) who puts it upon herself to investigate what really happened to teenager Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies) five years ago.
Pip’s boyfriend Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni) confessed to her murder before taking his own life but she believes he was innocent and wants to find out the truth.
As viewers have delved into the series, which will also be landing on Netflix next month, they want to know all there is on the show’s filming locations.
Where was A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder filmed?
The tale of A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder takes place in the fictional town of Little Kilton.
In real life, it is Axbridge in Somerset that doubles up as Little Kilton with filming taking place in and around the market town.
Talking about Axbridge, Myers said: "You want Little Kilton to seem perfect on the surface, like Twin Peaks in a way.
"We chose a town that when you come through the main high street, it twists and turns, and the houses are very bright colours, but it is surrounded by very woody hills. It feels very British but it has an edge."
According to Radio Times, “all production offices, costumes, props and storage” was based at The Bottle Yard Studios.
As well as in Axbridge, shooting took place in Redcliffe Caves, Redland and Westbury on Trym, as well as Avon Valley Railway Park.
While the show is already on BBC iPlayer, it will also be dropping on Netflix on Thursday, August 1.
