House of the Dragon Season 2 official trailer

House of the Dragon's Milly Alcock is set to star in a new project alongside Hollywood legend Julianne Moore and The White Lotus favourite Meghann Fahy.

The actress, known for her role as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, will take the lead in the upcoming miniseries Sirens, penned by Maid showrunner and writer Molly Smith Metzler.

The series, helmed by executive producers Margot Robbie, Dani Gorin and Tom Ackerley, is a collaboration with Netflix.

The plot revolves around Devon (Fahy), who grows concerned about her sister Simone's (Alcock) peculiar relationship with her new socialite employer, Michaela Kell (Moore).

As Simone becomes more entangled in Michaela's glamorous lifestyle, Devon decides it's time for an intervention, inadvertently making Michaela an enemy.

Netflix has described the show as an 'incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class.

Sirens is based on Metzler's play Elemeno Pea, written during her time at The Juilliard School. The release date for the series is yet to be announced.

Metzler's previous limited series Maid, which debuted in October 2021, received near-perfect reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series stars Margaret Qualley as single mother Alex, who takes up housecleaning to make ends meet.

She's in the midst of escaping an abusive relationship and overcoming homelessness to create a better life for her young daughter when she appears to hit a never-ending set of bumps in the road.

Margaret's real-life mum Andie MacDowell plays Paula Langley, Alex's eccentric and unreliable on-screen mother.

The oftentimes harrowing series explores poverty, addiction, domestic abuse and complicated family dynamics, yet threads of hope and dark humour run throughout its 10 episodes.

The story is based on Stephanie Land's bestselling memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother's Will to Survive.

Last May, Maid found itself back in Netflix's top ten, two years after its release thanks to snippets of the show going viral on TikTok.
