Ranvir Singh, while filling in for Lorraine Kelly on ITV's 'Lorraine', experienced a wardrobe hiccup live on air last Friday but didn't bat an eyelid. The poised presenter was introducing a segment featuring celebrity chef Levi Roots when her large hoop earring began to slip from her right ear, eventually falling to the floor as she wrapped up her introduction.
Despite the jewellery mishap, Ranvir carried on with utmost professionalism, not mentioning the incident before the show cut to Levi's cooking demonstration.
Social media users were quick to spot the on-air gaffe, with one viewer tweeting: "When one of your earrings falls out live on air! @ranvir01."
Another confirmed they weren't seeing things, posting: "I wasn't hallucinating, cheers."
This isn't Ranvir's first encounter with a live TV wardrobe malfunction. In 2021, she humorously apologised after a similar incident on Good Morning Britain, where she co-hosted with Richard Bacon and had to discreetly adjust her dress on camera, reports the Mirror.
Ranvir, while adjusting her dress, chuckled and admitted to having "A little bit of a sweaty palm".
During her stint as the host of Lorraine, she responded live on air to viewers' comments about her outfit, which some said resembled "lovely wallpaper".
She shared with the audience: "Could I just say that my lovely friend Russ always texts me when I'm on the show right, and today he's said 'I'd love some lovely wallpaper like your outfit. Think it would look gorgeous in my back bedroom.'"
She concluded by saying: "Thanks very much Russ."
