ITV This Morning viewers 'freak out' as theme tune replaced after almost a decade

This Morning aficionados were taken aback during the recent instalment of the popular daytime show when, after nearly a decade, the iconic theme tune was exchanged.

The show marked the end of the week's episodes with the invigorating duo Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond spearheading the proceedings. However, viewers found themselves perplexed when the Royal Marines brass band commenced the programme, supplying their rendition of the classic This Morning theme.

Despite the grandeur of the transition, a few spectators expressed their discomfort over the abrupt change. Retreating to X, they made their opinions known.

A bewildered viewer shared: "When I first heard the theme music this morning I thought I was going mad lol, freaked out for a second."

In contrast, another probed: "Wonder if that's them that were on the stage with Take That," reports the Mirror.

Saluting the novelty, some fans showered praise on the military bandsmen. A fan commented: "Their medals I spot Iraq, Afghan, peacekeeping, Falklands and Kosovo. Brave brave men. I salute you all."

Whilst some simply recognised: "Good musicians."

Confirmation regarding the permanency of the band on the show remains pending. Yet it seems, this remarkable ensemble could be merely a one-time wonder.

Subsequent to these developments, established anchors Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard introduced a new contest pegged to succeed the renowned Spin To Win. Post the airing of Thursday's episode of This Morning, the staff eagerly took to social media presenting an update for any spectators who might've skipped the telecast.

In the video, Ben excitedly announced: "Now then we've some thrilling news to share with you. From next week, brace yourselves for a brand new competition that's making its debut right here in the This Morning studio".

Cat joined in, saying: "Take a peek at what the board looks like now". The big reveal was the spanking new "Coin Drop game, where lucky participants could pocket a whopping £20,000. Ben emphasised that this substantial amount could be won by someone every single day.
