Diddly Squat Farm Shop has confirmed it will be closing temporarily. Taking to its official Instagram account, Diddly Squat told its followers the farm shop would not be open on Wednesday.

"Important announcement," the post read. "Diddly Squat Farm shop will be closed for the day on Wednesday 24th April." Along with the post, they wrote: "We will be closed this Wednesday, reopening as usual on Thursday. Really sorry for any inconvenience."

Fans quickly rushed to the comments section to question why the shop was closed. "That makes me sad. I love DIDDLY!" one fan shared while another asked: "Is everything closed? Shop and cafe?"

A third follower joked: "It's farm, not farm... Did you run out of eggs.." (sic) A fourth gutted fan shared; "Oh no Was planning on bringing my husband down for a birthday farm visit." (sic)

Seeing the funny side, someone else joked: "That fine, I couldn’t have made it anyway."

The news of the farm shop's closure comes after Jeremy was dealt another blow in a first-look clip of the upcoming series of Clarkson's Farm.

The former Top Gear star was issued a closure notice for Diddly Squat Farm and Jeremy was left fuming.

"Enforcement notice. Cease use of any part of the land as a restaurant or a cafe," Jeremy read out before asking: "What?"

"Ridiculous," one of his co-stars can be heard saying. "All of that effort we have put in and we are back at square one."

In another part of the trailer, the Doncaster-born star is seen caring for his pigs after they welcomed their first litter of tiny piglets.

However, things take a horrific turn as Jeremy is heard saying: "One of them is as weak as hell."

But just hours later, he presents Lisa with two piglets that had sadly died. Upon seeing the deceased piglets, Lisa exclaims: "Oh no," before breaking down in tears while holding the small animals.
