ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh makes cheeky swipe at co-star after 'joke' dig

As another episode of The Chase aired on ITV on Tuesday, host Bradley Walsh took a swipe at chaser Shaun Wallace, otherwise known as The Dark Destroyer.

Ivan from London, Sabrina from Preston, Michele from Bath and John from Watford joined forces to attempt to win a cash prize and beat one of the chasers.

After Ivan won some money in his cash builder, Bradley asked the four which chaser they'd like to go up against. Ivan said: "I'd like to take on Shaun because we're fellow lawyers and I'd like to pit my legal wits against him."

Michele agreed as she expressed: "Shaun all the way," before John added: "Shaun, he's got the best jokes."

The Gladiators host gave a dirty look to the camera as he took the opportunity to make a dig at his co-star by saying: "Wow, what show you watching.".

The players dreams were crushed as they didn't end up playing against Shaun, but instead took on Mark Labbett, otherwise known as The Beast.

Viewers at home had their own theories about why the contestants wanted to take on Shaun as they flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their opinions.

One person said: "They all know the best chance to win is against Shaun #TheChase."

Somebody else asked: "Why Shaun team? #TheChase."

While another wanted contestant Ivan to replace Shaun as they said: "Replace Shaun with Ivan as the new chaser #TheChase."

Somebody else agreed: "Ivan knows more than Shaun Wallace #TheChase."

Ivan, John and Michele made it to the final and managed to win £19,000 between them after beating Mark.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
