enthusiasts have speculated a potential paternity twist, suggesting that someone "knows something" about the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (played by Cait Fitton). The teenager has been missing from the cobbles for nearly two months.

Lauren had been behaving suspiciously, claiming she had a secret boyfriend who was lavishing her with gifts. However, after being dismissed from her job at the cafe by Roy Cropper (David Neilson), she received a visit from an unknown individual before suddenly vanishing.

Her new friend and romantic interest Bobby (Jack Carroll) discovered her absence but wasn't taken seriously when he reported her missing. The situation escalated when blood was found in her flat, prompting DS Lisa Swain (Victoria Myers) to investigate Lauren's disappearance.

Roy Cropper quickly became DS Swain's main suspect as he was the last person to see Lauren alive. He had also cleaned Lauren's flat, attempting to assist his friend Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) who was sub-letting the precinct flat.

Roy has been charged with Lauren's murder and was denied bail earlier this week. In a recent episode of Coronation Street, viewers saw a distraught Roy in his cell, refusing food and visitors, leaving his niece Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) heartbroken.

Meanwhile, Bobby's lie about seeing an unidentified man in Lauren's flat continues to unravel.

His comments about a black puffer jacket led to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) being questioned at the police station after he recently donated some items to a charity shop.

However, a behind-the-scenes video featuring actor Calum Lill, who plays Joel Deering, has reignited fan suspicions about the new solicitor's involvement in Lauren's disappearance.

The video shows Calum on location in Bolton for the filming of Roy's court scenes, alongside actresses Channique Sterling-Brown and Alison King. He later returned to the Salford-based set to prepare scripts with Channique.

Coronation Street fans have been voicing their suspicions about Joel on the soap's official Instagram page, with one fan speculating: "He knows something about Lauren's disappearance."

Another chimed in: "He's up to no good, isn't he? " A third expressed concern: "What did you do with Lauren mister."

Yet another was convinced: "I'm convinced he's behind Lauren's disappearance. She has the same necklace as Dee Dee .....hmmm bit of a coincidence."

Speculation is rife among Corrie enthusiasts who believe a shocking twist could be imminent, following whispers that Bethany Platt's ex-groomer Nathan Curtis might return to Weatherfield. One viewer queried: "Is Joel Nathan's brother? #corrie."

While another suggested: "And Joel is Nathan's brother."

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
