ITV This Morning fans fume 'let her speak' as Dermot O'Leary interrupts guest

ITV viewers have fumed at Dermot O'Leary for appearing to not let guest chef Meliz Berg speak during her cooking segment on Thursday's episode of This Morning.

Cypriot chef Meliz was busy making a halloumi pasta bake, as Dermot, 50, and Alison Hammond spoke to her while she was cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

As she stirred some beef and onions together in a pan, the inquisitive host asked: "Are you sure you've got the right measurements? I've never seen such a big pile of onions in my life."

This made the hosting duo burst out laughing as Alison joked: "Do you want some beef with your onions?," while Meliz explained why she was using the quantities of onions for the dish.

Dermot went on to praise the cook as he said: "Your recipes from your books are so good because they're proper crowd pleasers, I really enjoy cooking your food. It's easy enough to follow but you still think you're doing something quite special."

However, ITV viewers thought Dermot was over-talking Meliz and rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their grievances.

One annoyed person said: "Well done to the chef lady, I would have shouted WOULD YOU PLEASE SHUT UP by now. #ThisMorning."

Another frustrated social media user expressed: "Why doesn't Dermot shut up and let her speak #ThisMorning."

Somebody else penned: "Right coffee & paracetamol got a sodding headache trying to listen & watch that!!! #ThisMorning."

Yet another person wrote: "Alison n dermot need to calm down stop speaking at the same time #thismorning." (sic)

A fifth viewer said: "Think i need to turn the volume down #thismorning."

While a sixth annoyed X user added: "Shut up Dermot fgs #ThisMorning."
