Corrie: Ryan reveals all about the stolen money to Carla

ITV Coronation Street viewers are convinced they have figured out Carla Connor's (Alison King) revenge when she learns she has been betrayed by Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan). As the fact they stole her missing money to buy the Rovers Return looks like it will come out imminently, fans of the show are certain they will see her as the new landlady of the backstreet boozer.

Tuesday night's (March 2) episode saw her appear to work out the truth after her nephew Ryan Connor (Ryan Precott) shared Bethany Platt's (Lucy Fallon) suspicions about what had happened to the cash. Viewers were delighted to see the penny finally dropping.

They took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share theories as to how she would extract revenge on the devious pair, with most believing she will take over the management of the pub. @condorchrissy theorised: "When Carla realises that Jenny & Daisy stole her money from the factory she'll own the Rovers Return lol don't think she'll tell the police but the factory workers might especially Sean, Izzy, Fizz & Beth be interesting to see what they do #Corrie x."

@StuartYoung001 wondered: "Now will carla take this info to the police or take over the pub and no say a word. #Corrie." @sarahinspalding asked: "So is this where Jenny and Daisy sign over the pub to Carla? #Corrie"

@GinaLouLoves gushed: "Can’t wait for Carla 'bad b****' Barlow but always Connor to be landlady of the Rovers #corrie." Meanwhile @penniless_poet chimed in: "Can't wait for Hurricane Carla to hit the pub #Corrie."

The money at the centre of the betrayal disappeared after killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) stole it from Carla's factory accounts prior to his death last year.

The clothing entrepeneur has been unable to recover the cash as neither she nor police could find the account in which he stored it. However Daisy worked it out after analysing his journal.

Despite this, instead of telling Carla, she persuaded Jenny that they should keep the money for themselves and use it to buy the pub.

They have lied about how they managed to afford the purchase but in recent weeks they have been fighting amongst themselves and arousing suspicion. Daisy in particular has been splashing the cash on designer clothing which has raised a few eyebrows.

The revelation of the betrayal will be made all the worse by the fact that Jenny was married to Carla's father meaning she is her stepmother.

While Carla managed to get her factory back on track in the aftermath of the theft it was a struggle after the financial hit she took.

The factory workers are sure to also take umbrage at the truth given that there was a period when she couldn't pay them.

With Bethany seemingly having uncovered the truth and Carla realising she has been conned she will have to make a decision as to how she will handle the pair.

Coronation Street is on ITV Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm.
