Death in Paradise: Neville says goodbye to Florence
Death in Paradise actress Josephine Jobert thrilled fans when her character Florence Cassell returned to the BBC show back in March after coming out of witness protection. The 39-year-old French actress and singer first joined the series back in 2015 and exited for the first time in 2019.
Since her departure from the detective series, Josephine has returned for the tenth and 11th seasons of the show before leaving once again. Her character Florence appeared to make her exit for a final time on March 24 alongside DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little).
Neville decided to take on one final case on Saint Marie, before realising that Florence was his true love. In a dramatic scene, the detective was seen racing to the yacht she was scheduled to board before it was too late.
Taking to Instagram, Josephine addressed her next big career move with her 112,000 followers, teasing a brand new show. In a post shared to her story, she wrote: “It’s been a few days since I’ve given you much news.
“For the moment, I can’t reveal anything about the project I’m going to shoot. (I’m currently in Canada).
“But it will change at some point and I’ll make sure to keep you posted then,” she added. “Shooting starts in a few days.
“In the meantime, I’ve done my costume fittings (it’s gorgeous, by the way. I’m thrilled), my makeup/hair appointments, my medical check-up. And I’m training every day.
“I’ve finally found the place where I’m going to stay for good. I’m getting my bearings.
“I can’t wait to show you more and share with you bits and pieces of this new adventure.”

Speaking about the first time she left Death in Paradise back in 2019, Josephine told her X (Twitter) followers: "Just a message to just say thank you and goodbye. For those who watched episode six you now know I'm leaving Death in Paradise.
"I quit the show for personal and professional reasons - nothing dramatic I swear! Everything is fine it's just that I've been working on Death in Paradise for five years... I loved every minute of it.
“I'm going to miss the show, I'm going to miss Toby and Ardal and Shyko and everyone so it's been a tough decision, but that's life."
However, few characters on the show are ever gone for good, and fans are now excitedly anticipating which actor will next take up the iconic Detective Inspector role.
