ITV Coronation Street fans 'work out' Lauren Bolton's killer after resident drops clue

Coronation Street fans have speculated a connection between Bethany Platt (played by Lucy Fallon) and the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), following a hint in a recent episode. Lauren is feared to be dead after she vanished last month, with blood splatters and human tissue discovered in her flat.

DI Swain (Vicky Myers) suggested to murder suspect Roy Cropper (David Neilson) that the evidence indicates she was likely struck on the head, as the blood and tissue found align with blunt head trauma. There are several theories about what happened to Lauren and who might be involved, but nothing has been confirmed.

Viewers are still unsure whether she is truly dead, if someone killed her, or if she is alive and hiding. She had a mysterious ex-boyfriend who seemed to be harassing and even physically hurting her during secret visits to her flat - could he have taken Lauren?

Lauren also had an O-Vidz account where she posted adult content for subscribers, although, it is unclear if someone subscribing to her account is involved. Residents including Max Turner (Paddy Bever) and Bobby Crawford (JackCarroll) are suspected by viewers, while the police are investigating Roy and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard)

Another theory suggests her disappearance is linked to her father, who is in prison for his involvement with a far-right group.

Lauren had planned to reveal her experience of being groomed by the gang in a magazine interview, a plan she discussed with Bethany just days before she disappeared.

Fans are now speculating if Bethany, who has been receiving threats from Lauren's contacts, could be connected to her disappearance.

In a recent episode, when Daniel asked his girlfriend Bethany about Roy's arrest, she seemed to react oddly, leading fans to suspect her involvement.
