Extraordinary Season 2 trailer streaming on Disney +
Disney+ subscribers will be devouring the second season of Extraordinary this week, but will there be a third season?
Much like the first outing last year, stars Máiréad Tyers and Luke Rollason confirm Jen and 'Jizzlord', and their friends Kash (Bilal Hasna) and Carrie (Sofia Oxenham), will be in a very different place by the end of the season finale.
“There’s a real kind of emotional journey for Jen,” Máiréad said. “It’s rounded up very well in the last episode.
“And not just for Jen, also for Jizz. He goes through a big cycle of learning which culminates in the last episode.
“And the same with Kash and Carrie. It all seems to round up in the last episode, but as soon as you think it’s tied up in a bow something else comes… there’s a big cliffhanger that happens that tosses everything up in the air.”
Luke added: “Without saying too much, episode eight is spectacular!”
The cast and showrunner Emma Moran all have their fingers crossed for a third season, though nothing has been confirmed just yet.
This year’s follow-up was announced before the first season had even been released, so it’s possible confirmation could be coming very soon.
As for what’s in store for the gang this time round, Jen and Jizz’s newfound relationship will be thrown into a tailspin when they discover the shape-shifter had a wife and son before he became stuck as a cat and lost his memory.

Luke joked: “I felt so sorry for [showrunner, Emma Moran]. Whenever she was on set we would be like, ‘So… what’s going to happen? What’s going on now?’”
“I think I hoped that it would be easier for them in the second season,” Máiréad added.
“I think that’s for my own selfish reason. For Jen, I wanted her to be in this really happy relationship, but it’s tested massively in the second season.”
Luke added: “I was really looking forward to the complications that emerge at the end of the first series.
“There’s going to be new characters, which for our dynamic is very interesting because we’ve been together for the whole first series.
“Everyone’s got different amounts of knowledge about each other. So I was kind of rooting for things to get really complicated!”
Extraordinary season 2 is available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu in the US.
