Louis Walsh enters the Celebrity Big Brother house

's opened up about her past, saying "I've seen terrible things" in a mysterious chat during the show's launch.

Fern Britton, who used to present This Morning, was one of the biggest names to walk into the ITV house on the big first night. She was the last celeb to meet hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu, and she made a funny comment about it being way past her bedtime.

She said to the hosts, "I don't know what time it is but I'm darned sure it's past my bedtime! It's late isn't it? " and Will laughed, telling her: "And you're not going to know the time for about three weeks!".

When Will brought up all the things she's seen in her long TV career, Fern hid her face and confessed: "I've seen some terrible things."

She couldn't stop a nervous giggle when he joked that she's got even more surprises coming, reports the Daily Star.

He then asked if she was ready to dive into the Big Brother world, and she was all smiles, saying she was up for an adventure. She excitedly said: "I'm very excited for an adventure so, you know, let's have an adventure!"

Fern has also spoken out about reports that she is set to spill the beans on her feud with Phillip Schofield, as she told The Mirror: "Apparently I've signed up to spill the beans! Well, right now, I can tell you that I think let's approach with caution and kindness. It’s fair to say that towards the end we were not getting on. Things were tricky.

"There are some things that I think as a collective almost nation there are things you can't and wouldn't want to hear or see or be talked about. I haven't been on that show for 15 years. I don't know anything that's been going on since then."

Meanwhile, AJ cheered for Fern and then showed her into the Big Brother house to say hello to the other celebs. Celebrity Big Brother made a huge comeback on our TVs after six years away, and it sure did return with a splash.

ITV has splashed out a whopping £2million on a star-studded cast for the first series of Celebrity Big Brother 2024. The line-up includes big names like Louis Walsh and Fern Britton, as well as newcomers like Heartstopper's Bradley Riches and TV personality Zeze Millz, plus Kate Middleton's uncle.
